I start to work in this week, and have not much activities in Modena, but I start to cook with simple materials, serving dishes like fried eggs and fried noodles.
In the beginning of the week, I had a short trip to Rome.
At the end of the week, I traveled to Munich to visit my former supervisor. I had a sentimental walk to the Olympia park and the Institute where I once spent 3 years. I also tried the Bavarian dish of Schweinshaxe (at Ayinger Bräustüberl out of München) and Weisswurst (at München Hbf), though they tasted not as well as before. In the place of Octoberfest, there was a spring festival, and we went to a flea market nearby, seeing some weird and familiar objectives. I also visited a new museum named Bradhost, where an exhibition of paintings from the rebellion generation was going on, but I couldn't appreciate these arts. For more fun, I even learnt to cook Spanish Paella from my supervisor's wife. It's the first time I took the daytime train, so I could enjoy the beautiful scenery of Northern Italy and Western Austria.
